*BlackRock has hired Curtis Arledge as managing director and co-head of U.S. fixed-income in its bond portfolio management group. In this position, Arledge replaces Andrew Philips, who was promoted to the position of global chief operating officer of fixed-income. Prior to joining BlackRock, Arledge was global head of Wachovia Corp.'s fixed-income division.
