San Jose Plan Watches Brandywine, Plots New Search

The investment committee for the San Jose Federated City Employees' Retirement System reviewed the poor performance of Brandywine Global Investment Management at a meeting this week, confirmed Ron Kumar, financial analyst at the $1.4 billion plan. The firm oversees a $25 million diversified small-cap value mandate. Kumar said that the firm has been placed on probation.
