BTIG Adds Five to Trading Team

Institutional brokerage and fund services company BTIG has made new additions to its trading team, the firm announced.
Michael Balog has joined as managing director of global marketing. His prior experience includes stints at Montgomery Securities, Bank of America Securities and most recently as a money manager for a West Coast-based family office.
BTIG has also hired Brandon Hughes as managing director and equities sales trader in its institutional division, where he will work out of the firm’s Boston office. He joins BTIG after a 13-year long run at Citigroup.
Robert Langer has been named head of convertible bond sales and trading. Previously he was a consultant for various hedge funds and investment advisors. Tina DeRico has also joined BTIG as a sales trader in New York. She was previously at Citigroup for nine years, where she managed the middle markets sales trading team.
Lastly, Marci Field has been named a sales trading for international equity. She was most recently a consultant for global macro hedge and quantitative funds.
